After a decade serving as an Information Technology Specialist at a major law firm, he burned out on his Information Technology job. He started his new video production business on a full time basis. Visual Creations Productions was born.
His talents for visual arts lead him to create various video projects for churches and non-profit organizations. These include various video films telling the stories of homeless people. This led to producing compelling and engaging wedding stories for brides.
At 7 years old, Jaime’s destiny toward video began by building electronic circuits and reading electrical diagrams. Although his relationship with his dad was non-existent, his dad taught him all of the electronic concepts he knew.
Instead of playing with other kids, he began learning the morse code language and built a solar power radio. By building a short wave radio kit, he began exploring the world by listening to the Voice of America and monitoring mobile and emergency communications.
Before Silicon Valley was born, his dad (who has nothing more than a 6th grade education) once told him: “Computers are the future. You should learn it.” With his dad’s inspiration, he began building his own PC-based computers simply by reading do it yourself books on the subject.
Jaime’s fascination with video production took hold when his dad made home movies with his old Bell & Howell 8 mm film camera. Jaime assembled his first music video with Super 8mm film by playing Earth Wind and Fire’s song “Imagination”. He synchronized the scenes from his high school graduation film that his dad shot. This video touched his dad’s heart. For the first time, Jaime saw his dad’s tears stream down his face. Jaime finally discovered his purpose and calling in life…making heartfelt video stories.
Jaime dropped out of San Francisco State’s Engineering program to follow his love for video production and computer technology. Jaime’s curiosity and fascination for technology allowed him to be hired as an Information Technology Specialist by a major international law firm in the San Francisco Financial District.
By helping young law firm associates create their annual law firm video, he was the go-to guy for everything computers and video.
His transformation from electronics whiz to video geek has taught him a few life lessons:His dad taught him that it’s important to have a mentor that encourages him to open up to new challenges and experiences. In this world, you can’t be the Lone Ranger. You can’t always do things by yourself. A mentor can change your life in the blink of an eye
Jaime currently works with various small businesses, non profit organizations and individuals to help them create their video stories.
One client comments on his work: “One of the great things in working with Jaime is that he doesn’t try to take someone’s message and convey his own. He listens intently, and he tries to get to the heart of what it is that they want to communicate. Jaime uses his gift to communicate that other person’s vision or picture. He really listens…really listens, and he makes himself available to serve the people who want to do the video.”
Jaime constantly updates his video skills through various seminars, online webinars and instructional DVDs.
